White Castle, Parkview Baptist win state titles

White Castle, from neighboring Iberville Parish, shined in the Class 1A final over the weekend, taking a 32-20 victory over Ouachita Christian in the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans.
Head coach Ferrante Dominique, who played at Ascension Catholic in Donaldsonville before transferring to White Castle, led the school to its first football title in the modern era.
Tyree Bracken rushed for 235 yards and two touchdowns to lead the 15th-seeded Bulldogs.
Parkview Baptist, located just north of Ascension Parish in Baton Rouge, claimed the Class 3A state title with a 24-20 win over Patterson.
