Darius Willis a member of Concordia bowl team
Darius Willis, who played football and ran track at East Ascension last year, has found success at Division II Concordia University St. Paul.
The team advanced to the Mineral Water Bowl in Missouri over the weekend.
The 5-foot-5, 155-pound defensive back had a medical redshirt this year due to a season-ending hip surgery in August.
Willis also runs sprints on the CU track team. He competed in the 55m, 60m and 200m during the indoor season.
As a three-year letterwinner in football and four-year letterwinner in track at East Ascension, he earned the Iron Spartan Award.
Willis was a regional qualifier in the 4x100, 4x400 and the 400m. He was a junior Olympic qualifier in the 4x100m relay.
