Ascension Cougars employ USA Football Coaching Education Program

Ascension Cougars Youth Football – part of the Ascension Cougars Youth Sports Organization – has registered its 32 football coaches to become USA Football coaching members.

Each coach receives an array of resources, including USA Football’s Certified Coaching Education Program (CCEP), which the league is requiring its coaches to complete prior to the 2010 season.

The league serves more than 130 youth football players living in Gonzales, Gesimar, Darrow, Prairieville, Sorrento and St. Amant.

USA Football, the sport’s national governing body on youth and amateur levels, has trained more than 30,000 youth football coaches (players aged 6-14) in all 50 states and Washington, D.C., since 2007. USA Football is the official youth football development partner of the NFL, each of its 32 teams and the NFL Players Association.
