4-H Foundation set to host sporting clay fundraiser

Time to get out your shotguns. Ascension 4-H Foundation is holding a Sporting Clays fund raiser at Hunters Run Gun Club on Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010.  Registration begins at 8 a.m. and the shooting fun starts at 9 a.m. Single shooters and teams are welcome. 

The Hunters Run club is located in Port Allen just off LA 1. Visit www.huntersrungunclub.com for directions.  Entering a team is easy. Call Thad Bellow at 225-715-1637. Single entry is $70 and team entries are $250.  Awards will be for The Top Gun and the First, Second, and Third place teams.  Entry fee includes a jambalaya lunch and 100 targets.  Station sponsors of $100 are also being accepted.

Participants must furnish their own shells (nothing larger than seven shot, no steel shot, and two inch shells only).

You can help provide opportunities for 4-Hers in Ascension Parish by supporting the Ascension 4-H Foundation.  The mission of the foundation is to secure private funding for the enhancement of the 4-H Youth Development Program.  This is accomplished by selection, training, and use of volunteers who serve as trustees of the Louisiana 4-H Foundation.
