St. Joseph slips by Lady Griffins to open season

Dutchtown's Ka'Nesheia Cobbins had a game-high 24 points for the Lady Griffins in a 61-53 loss to St. Joseph Tuesday night.

BATON?ROUGE – St. Joseph outscored Dutchtown by six points in the final stanza to secure a 61-53 victory Tuesday night.

Dutchtown (0-1) led 15-10 after one quarter before the Lady Redstickers (2-0) held them to six points in the second frame. St.?Joseph’s led 41-39 going into the final frame.

Ka’Nesheia Cobbins had a game-high 24 points for the Lady Griffins, while Maureen Gross added eight, Latoya Evans provided seven and Ciera Dukes had six.
