Dilldine, Blank lead Lady Griffins in final CCSL meet

BATON ROUGE – With the city meet on the horizon, Dutchtown’s Alyssa  Dilldine and McCall Blank provided top finishes at the final  Captial City?Swim League meet Sunday afternoon.

Dilldine won both the  200-meter freestyle and 500-meter freestyle with times of 2:01.06 and 5:21.50.

Blank won the 50-yard freestyle in 27.46 and was fourth in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:14.06.

They helped the Lady Griffins to a third-place tie in overall standings with St. Michael behind St. Joseph’s Academy and Lutcher.

Dutchtown placed sixth overall on the boys side. Catholic won the team title followed by Lutcher and Central.

Charles Doofe led the Griffins with a third place finish in the 500-yard freestyle clocking in at 5:21.58 and was fourth in the 100-yard butterfly touching in 1:00.81.

Jay Karasuik placed eighth in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 57.56 and Eric Ferrell was 11th in 58.69. Ferrell also placed 11th in the 100-yard breaststroke touching in 1:18.28.

Sarah Lessard placed third in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:09.99 and was 10th in the 50-yard freestyle touching in 28.99, while Caroline May was 11th in the 100-yard butterfly finishing in 1:20.67 and 11th in the 100-yard backstroke in 1:21.17.

Jordan Landry placed 11th in the 100-yard freestyle in 1:09, while Tori Venable was 12th in 1:09.02.

Also competing for the Lady Griffins were Gabrielle May, Mary Alice Mouk, Chelsea Ghere, Caitlyn Kernan and Maci Walton. 

Competing for the Griffins were Alex Cruz and Aaron Faulkner.
