BOUTTE - St. Amant’s Dylan Delaune pitched a complet game for a, 9-2, District 6-5A victory over?Hahnville Tuesday afternoon snapping a six-game losing streak. 

“It feels good to win,” St. Amant head coach Bob Lemons said. “It goes to show that if we do things right, we could have won a few more that could have put us in playoff contention.”

St. Amant will attempt to sweep Hahnville Thursday to close out the regular season.

“They made some errors and we got timely hitting and pitched well enough to win,” Lemons said. “It is not a matchup thing. We are basically playing with nothing to lose. If we don’t make the playoffs, we are trying to finish up on a positive note.”

Delaune gave up two runs on seven hits and three walks, while striking out five.

Caleb Templet was 3 for 5 with a double, while Dillon Morin hit a two-run home run, his seventh of the year.

Task Plauche was 2 for 3 with one RBI and Kenny Wilkins was 2 for 4 with a double and one RBI. Justin Manton, Tyler Guillory and Lee Elisar also collected hits.
