Ascension Parish 4-H Shooting Sports club particpates at district

BATON?ROUGE– Ascension Parish 4-H Shooting Sports Club participated in the East Baton Rouge District match April 5 competing in Air Rifle, Air Pistol, BB Gun, Archery, Shotgun, and .22 Rifle.

In Sr. Air Rifle, Jacie Kennison placed first with a score of 204, Anthony Picou finished 3rd with a score of 189 and Jake Stoehr had a score of 182 for 4th place. In Jr. Air Rifle, Montana Dupuy placed 4th and Dillion Lejuene placed 5th.

In Sr. Archery/Compound, Joseph Babineaux placed 2nd and he also placed 5th in Sr. Archery/Recurve with a 179. In Jr. Archery, Chelsie Reed placed 2nd with a score of 241.

In Shotgun, Taylor Gentile won the Sr. Division with a 21 out of 25.  Joseph Babineaux hit 16 out of 25 and Anthony Picou hit 12. In Jr. Shotgun, Montana Dupuy placed 11th hitting 11 targets.

In Air Pistol, Colby Dixon took first place honors with a score of 200, while Dillion Lejuene finished 2nd with a 167 and Monique Reed took 3rd with a 144 and Zachary Whitesell shot an 88.

In .22 Rifle 3 position, Jacie Kennison placed 4th with a score of 276, While Jake Stoehr shot a 136 and Joseph Babineaux shot a 101. In the .22 CMP match Jacie Kennison placed 3rd with a 522, while Jake Stoehr shot a 510 and Joseph Babineaux shot a 360. In the Jr. Division, Dillion Lejuene placed 2nd with a score of 256.

“Congratulations to all the winners and thank you to the EBR 4-H for hosting this event,” a spokeperson said. “The weather was great and everyone had a great time.”
