Griffins rally past Hahnville to stay atop district standings

BOUTTE - Dutchtown  (24-4-2, 10-1) scored seven runs in the fifth inning to rally past Hahnville 13-7 Tuesday afternoon.

Hahnville (14-15, 4-7) took an early 1-0 lead in the second inning before the Griffins answered with two runs in the third.

The Tigers then scored six in the bottom half. Dutchtown added one in the fourth and tacked on three in the seven for the final tally.

Chris Boutwell got the win for Dutchtown while Ryan Waters took the loss.

Matt Willis was 4-4 with a double and RBI for Dutchtown, while Alex Millet was 3 for 4 with a double and three RBIs, Jesse Buratt was 2 for 4 with a home run and two RBIs and Troy Lewis was 1 for 5 with five RBIs.

John Gomez was 1 for 4 with two RBIs for Hahnville, while Seppe Crovetto was 1 for 4 with two RBIs.
