Hahnville pulls away from East Ascension in district play

East Ascension (10-15-1, 2-6) scored three runs in the second inning to tie Hahnville (14-12, 4-5) Thursday evening at Johnny Ambeau Park but the Tigers answered with three runs in the third and two each in the fifth and sixth innings for an 11-5 District 6-5A victory.

Justin Zoglio (4-2) picked up the win for Hahnville and Bradly Day (2-2) took the loss.

Blaise Dempster was 3 for 4 with two triples, one double and three runs for Hahnville, while Ryan

Waters was 1 for 4 with a two run home runs and Brandon Young was 2 for 4 with a triple, double and three runs.

Miles Holley was 1 for 3 with a double and RBI for EA while Adam Trahan was 1 for 2 with a triple and one run.
