Dutchtown rallies by East St. John for season sweep
GEISMAR - Dutchtown answered with six runs in the bottom of the fourth inning after East St. John had put five runs on the board in the top half to pull out a 7-5 District 6-5A victory Thursday evening at Griffin Park.
The Griffins (22-4-2, 8-1) scored first with one run in the bottom of the first inning.
East St. John (10-12-2, 1-8) took a 5-1 lead in the fourth inning before Dutchtown tagged on six runs in the bottom half for the final tally.
Chris Boutwell (6-0) picked up the win in relief.
Bryton Trepagnier took the loss for East St. John.
Dillon Day was 1 for 4 with a double and three RBIs for Dutchtown, while Alex Millet was 2 for 4 with a double and one RBI and Wesley Perkins was 2 for 4 with one RBI.
Chris Howard was 1 for 3 with one RBI for East St. John, while Andre Simmons was 1 for 3 with two RBIs and Trepagnier was 3 for 3 with two RBIs.
