Hahnville drops Spartans to move into three-way tie for third

BOUTTE - Hahnville scored five runs in the first two innings and added single runs in the last three to shutout East Ascension 8-0 Tuesday afternoon at Tiger Park.

The victory for Hahnville forced a three-way tie for third place in District 6-5A standings with East Ascension and St. Amant.

Ryan Waters picked up the win for the Tigers, while Alec?Singletary took the loss for the Spartans.

Brandon Young was 3 for 3 with a double, triple and four runs for Hahnville (13-13, 3-5), while Waters was 1 for 2 with a two-run home run and Dillon Boudreaux was 2 for 4 with a run.

Singletary was 2 for 3 for East Ascension (10-14-1, 3-5).
