Co-MVP

West battled back from several injuries earlier in her career to lead East Ascension to a share of District 6-5A championship and a berth in the Class 5A quarterfinals.

A University of Louisiana Lafayette signee, West was named to the All-District 6-5A first team after leading the Lady Spartans with 11 rebounds per game to go with 12 points, two blocks and 1.5 steals.

West makes her third appearance on the All-Parish team.

Kendra Coleman

Sophomore

Donaldsonville

Co-MVP

Coleman returns to the All-Parish team as Co-MVP for the second consecutive season after averaging 23.6 points per game to go with 8 assists and 2.5 steals.

A starter since she was in the seventh grade, Coleman repeated as the District 7-2A MVP and returned to the Class 2A All-State team as a second teamer after earning first-team honors as a freshmen.

Dennis Chandler

East Ascension

Co-Coach of the Year

Chandler led the Lady Spartans to a share of the District 6-5A championship with a 9-1 mark.

East Ascension defeated St. Joseph’s and John Ehret in the Class 5A playoffs before being ousted by Walker in the quarterfinals and finished the season with an overall record of 22-5

Butch Little

Co-Coach of the Year

Little, last season’s All-Parish Coach of the Year,  kept Donaldsonville a Class 2A power this season as the Lady Tigers swept through District 7-2A play undefeated while he was named district Coach of the Year.

The Lady Tigers defeated Rosepine and University Lab in the playoffs before falling to repeat state champion John Curtis in the quarterfinals during a rematch of last season’s Class 2A state final. Donaldsonville finsihed the season with a 26-4 overall record.

Ka’Nesheia Cobbins

Sophomore

Dutchtown

Cobbins led Dutchtown, which advanced to the Class 5A playoffs, with 20 points, 11 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.2 steals per game. An All-District 6-5A first-team selection, Cobbins makes her second consecutive appearance on the All-Parish team after being named Co-MVP last season as a freshmen.

Allison Falcon

Ascension Catholic

Falcon, an honorable mention Class 1A All-State selection  returned to the court after sitting out a season and played like she never left earning District 9-1A Co-MVP while averaging 15 points, 9 assists and 4 steals per game to help lead Ascension Catholic to a share of the district championship and a return to the Class 1A playoffs after a year’s absence.

Grant returns to the All-Parish team after averaging 11.4 points per game to go with five assists, five rebounds and four steals, while being named to the All-District 6-5A first-team.

Bianca Harvey

Harvey debuts on the All-Parish team after earning first-team District 7-2A recognition while averaging 11 points, 8 rebounds and 3 steals per game.

Krystal Knight

Knight led the Lady?Bulldogs with 19 points per game and 10 rebounds in being named to the District 9-1A second team and helping Ascension?Catholic to a share of the district championship.

Kayla Mollere

Donaldsonville

Mollere, an honorable mention Class 2A selection All-State selection, makes second consecutive appearance on the All-Parish team after averaging 13 points per game to go with 8 steals, 8 rebounds and 5 assists in being named to the District 7-2A first team. 

Alexis Ruth

Sophmore

East Ascension

Ruth led the Lady Spartans with 12.4 points per game to go with four rebounds, three assists and three steals.

Laneisha Stephens

Donaldsonville

Stephens returns to the All-Parish team after averaging 10.5 points, 10 rebounds, 5 blocks and 4 steals per game while being named to the District 7-2A first team.
