Lady Spartans edge by Destrehan

East Ascension (15-1, 5-4) scored the only run they needed in the second inning to defeat Destrehan 1-0  in District 6-5A play Thursday afternoon at Lady Spartan Park.

Chelsea LeBlanc surrendered two hits striking out 12 over seven innings for the win.

Desiree Harvey took the loss for Desthrehan (8-17, 2-7) giving up three hits while striking out two.

Brandi Cedotal was 1 for 2 with a double and one RBI for East Ascension, while Jade St. Pierre was 1 for 2 and Olivia Maher scored the lone run.
