Babin hits game winning shot in title game for second consecutive season

For the second time in two years, a game-winning shots by KK Babin propeled the St. Michael to the LHSAA?Class 4A State Championship.
In the title game against Vanderbilt Catholic, the Warriors were challenged and had to adjust to defeat Vanderbilt Catholic 43-40 with Babin's second title game winner.
"With just over 30 seconds left, I managed to slip behind Vanderbilt's trapping defense and amazingly made the shot," said Babin. "I did it once, but never in my life did I think I could do it again."
In the semifinal game St. Michael toppled 4A rival Glen Oaks High School, outscoring them 35-1 in the first quarter and setting two tournament records. The Lady Warriors set 4A and composite tournament records for the most points in a quarter.
"Babin's finishes are historic,” St. Michael head coach Tami Reynolds said.
Babin was named the most outstanding player of the title game.
