Undefeated St. Amant cruises by Destrehan

DESTREHAN - St. Amant  (17-0, 2-0) remained undefeated with a 6-1 District 6-5A victory over Destrehan (4-8, 0-2) Thursday evening.

Aime Parent (11-0) picked up the win pitching a complete game while giving up one run on four hits and one walk and striking out four. Desiree Harvey took the loss surrendering six runs on nine hits and six walks.

Bridget Buquoi was 3 for 4 for the Lady Gators with four RBIs and two runs, while Kelley Luquette was 1 for 2 with two runs, Kandace Boudreaux was 2 for 4 with one RBI and Gabrielle Templet was 1 for 3 with one run.

The Lady Gators picked up two runs in each the first, second and fourth innings.

Luquette doubled in the first and scored on Buquoi’s single before Boudreaux’s double plated a run.

Templet and Luquette walked in the second inning and scored on Buquoi’s infield single.

Luquette scored on Buquoi’s infield single in the fourth before Melanie Parker’s double plated the Lady Gators’ final run.
