Lady Spartans fall to Hahnville in 12 innings

East Ascension’s Rachel LeCoq struckout 20 and held a no-hitter going into the 12th inning but the Lady Spartans fell 2-0 to Hahnville in District 6-5A play at Lady?Spartan Park.
LeCoq surrendered two runs on two hits and one walk. Lauren Candies picked up the win for Hahnville (12-3, 2-0) surrendering five hits and two walks while striking out seven.
Tiffany Robinson was 1 for 3 with two walks for East Ascension (9-7, 1-1), while Jade St. Pierre batted 1 for 4 with a walk and Chelsea LeBlanc, Shelby Young and Evan Babin were each 1 for 5.
Haley Mair was 1 for 5 with one run for Hahnville, while Erin Debruler was 1 for 4 with one RBI?and one run.
East Ascension travels to St. Amant Tuesday in District 6-5A play.
