Dutchtown’s May, Doofe, Gautreau qualify at meet

BATON ROUGE  - Dutchtown qualified Spencer May, Charles Doofe and Taylor Gautreau at tier final Capital City Swim League Meet Tuesday afternoon at Crawfish Aquatics.

May qualified in both the boy’s 100-yard butterfly and 100-yard backstroke winning both in 56.65 and 1:00.29 respectively.

Gautreau qualified in the girls’ 200-yard freestyle winning in 2:16.32 and placed second in the 100-yard butterfly in 1:11.90.

Doofe was second in the 100-yard butterfly to May with a time of 58.45 but qualified as well as in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:59.19 for third place.

McCall Blank took fourth in the girls’ 50-yard freestyle in 29.01 ahed of teammates Tori Venable, Caroline May, Amanda Berry, Camille Rhodus, Samantha Faulkner, Bridgette Ogletree, Brianna Guerrin, Amber Arnold, Maci Walton, Sydney Comeaux, Mary Alice Mouk, Karina Jaenicke and Alyssa Tudor.

Brennan Ritchie was fifth in the boys’ 50-yard freestyle in 26.22 ahead of teammates Jeffrey Seeger, Jay Karasuik, Trevor Gesick, Alec Little, Jacques Theriot, Brogan Bennett, William Wyatt and Brett Hart.

McCall also placed ninth in the 100-yard freestyle, while Brennan was fifth and Karasuik was eighth.

Nick Ladwig was fifth in the boys’ 100-yard breaststroke in 1:29.82 ahead of Theriot’s 1:31.63.
