Letter to the Editor: Concerned citizen

Dear Editor, 

It's been brought to my attention that the Parish Recreation department is hiring or appointing an individual who has pending Domestic battery charges as well as possession with intent to distribute narcotics into a penal institute. 

As a concerned citizen of Ascension Parish who is heavily involved in all things youth recreation in parish this really concerns me. Even though the charges are pending and or could be resolved down the road is this the kind of policy we want to set for such a position that heavily involves the parish youth.
