LETTER: Mother requests help finding her son

Staff Writer
Gonzales Weekly Citizen

On Jan. 19, 2008, our oldest son Robert B. Alexis came up missing. His truck was found about three miles from our home. The truck was found in a ditch on Beco Road in St. Amant. We were told that two police units saw the truck that Saturday morning and said nothing until 10:45 p.m. Sunday night when an officer called us.

There were no clues to tell us what happened to Robert. To this day we still do not know a thing, where he is or what has happened. I just cannot believe that with all the cars on our roadways that no one saw anything.

I hope that no father or mother has to live through this at any time in their life. Our son was 47 then.

He is 48 now. He worked every day of his life and stayed in close contact with his family. If anyone knows anything, please call the sheriff’s office at 225-621-8300, or me at 225-329-7918. If you know something, please call.
