Delight yourself in the Lord

MINISTER MARIENETTA WILLIAMS

The word delight means to give or take great pleasure; to rejoice; to gratify or please highly.  The scripture says, “Delight yourself also in the LORD:  and He shall give you the desires of your heart.  Commit your way unto the LORD; trust also in Him; and He shall bring it to pass.”  (Psalms 37:4-5)

We are living in a generation who speaks more about their haters than concentrating on the lover of their souls.  The Bible declares, “Fret not yourself because of evildoers, neither be you envious against the workers of iniquity.  For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.  Trust in the LORD, and do good: so shall you dwell in the land, and verily you shall be fed.”(Psalm 37:1-4)

Having a thirst and hunger for righteousness will always cause a negative reaction from those who hate Jesus Christ.  Always pray for your enemy and believe the WORD of God when Jesus said, “Your enemy shall be your footstool.”  There is peace in doing what is right and pleasing to God.  The blessings of the LORD shall come upon you, and overtake you, if you listen to the voice of the Lord.  The Bible says, “Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the field.  Blessed shall be the fruit of your body.” (Deuteronomy 28:2-4)

If you have accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior, He has given you the blood right to declare His Word against every attack of the enemy.  Psalms 138:6-8 says, “Though the LORD be high, yet has He respect unto the lowly:  but the proud He knows afar off.  Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me:  You shall stretch forth Your Hand against the wrath of my enemies, and Your Right Hand shall save me.  The LORD will perfect that which concerns me:  your Mercy, O Lord, endures forever:  forsake not the works of Your own Hands.  We are one with God and He promise to order our steps in His WORD.

Your time spent in obedience is not in vain just hold on and keep believing God has many blessings with your name on it.  The more you keep your eyes on Him the greater the blessings.

“DELIGHT YOURSELF ALSO IN THE LORD: AND He shall give you the desires of your heart.” (Psalms 37:4)  This is a PROMISE from the MASTER that you can rest in forevermore. AMEN
