“Fantastic Four” Trailer Review

Today we got our first trailer for 20th Century Fox’s newest film, “Fantastic Four.” It’s been nine years since we’ve seen the four fantastic heroes on screen and by the look of the trailer, the film looks like it’s going to be a deep, dark, and brooding. I am extremely happy about this.

Now I must say I think the previous “Fantastic Four” films from 2005 and 2006 are not all that great. They focused on being funny and not delving into the problems these normal scientists have to face when they get their powers. But in this film, by the trailer, it looks like they’re going for a more dramatic take on the story.

I have to mention the cast now. Miles Teller, from “Whiplash,” will play Mr. Fantastic, Kate Mara will portray The Invisible Woman, Michael B. Jordan will play The Human Torch and Jamie Bell will be The Thing. Overall I enjoy this casting. Teller looks like he’s going to do very well as Mr. Fantastic and the same goes for the rest of the cast.

By the trailer I can already tell that this film is going to look fantastic, pun intended. The shots look very clean and well shot. I really like the way Thing looks. He looks pretty awesome, but this is the first trailer we have so as the months progress this could change, but I doubt it.

Overall I’d say this trailer is well done. Doesn’t show too much but gives just enough to tease us of the greatness this film could have. I definitely am keeping an open mind about this though. It may have a good trailer but the film could be bad. I hope I’m wrong and the movie delivers and goes where the “Fantastic Four” needs to go.

“Fantastic Four” hits the cinema August 7, 2015, and I will be there to see if Fox can finally put this comic book franchise into a good film.
