Ready, set, read - Part 1
If ever we must live our lives in a posture of transparency it is now. The Church of the Living God must come clean in order to win a dying world to Christ. Living a Holier-than-Thou life style may sound good to you but I’m sure your conversation is sending a stink to God’s nostril.
Romans 3:23 declares, “For all have sinned, and come short of the Glory of God.” The Scriptures also says, “For the wages of sin is death but the Gift of God is Eternal Life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)
The Church must stop hiding the truth. Jesus died for the sins of the world and that means every one of us. We were all guilty but upon accepting JESUS and CONFESSING our need for Him we would still be lost. Some Christians are truly struggling and by all means I am not belittling anyone but could the reasons for sinners treating life so casually be partly due to our lack of keeping it real. Have we become so rigid and stuck in a rut of religion the church is beginning to look more like a morgue than a Sanctuary for the living?
Could the House of God, the place of Worship and Praise, The place of Restoration, Deliverance and Healing suddenly now become a shrine to show its beauty or a Den of thieves as tricksters sucker the flock? What in God’s earth are we as the Body of Christ portraying? Are we killing those who need help the most with our tongues? Why are we so divided? Aren’t we sisters and brothers in Christ serving, “One Lord (JESUS CHRIST), one FAITH, one BAPTISM? One GOD and FATHER of all, Who is above all, and through all, and in you all.” (Ephesians 4:5-6)
Are we reaching out to saves lives or are we guilty of committing manslaughter? “Even so the tongue is a little member, and boast great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindles! And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature and it is set on fire of hell. But the tongue can no man tame: it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God. Out of the same mouth proceeds blessing and cursing. My Brethren, these things ought not so to be.” (James 3:5-6, 8-10)
Let us start this year out right by examining ourselves because we are ALL at fault. Once we REPENT by faith receiving God’s forgiveness, immediately we can go on to do the business at hand. We must be about our Father’s business, winning the lost at any cost for His Glory. God never reveals our error without giving us the solution to resolve the issues. The Bible has ALL the answers.
