Glory to God in the Highest

Minister Marienetta Williams

I love this season of the year.  Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ set the stage over 2000 years ago as a symbol of His deity.   The Angelic Announcement of His birth is being reenacted from year to year but such a profound encounter can never be duplicated.  The most perfect gift God could have ever given to His children is His Son Jesus Christ.   Luke 2:10-11 says “And the Angel said unto them, Fear not:  for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.  For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.”  What beautiful words to ring in the ears of those who believe.

Psalm 107:31 says, “Oh that men would praise the LORD for His Goodness, and for His wonderful Works to the children of men!”  As we lift our voices in triumphal praise and adoration to our King, let us remember His love for us will not change.  Jesus is our Redeemer.

GLORY TO GOD IN THE HIGHEST, for being our Prince of Peace, the only source to look up to when war wages around us. He is The Divine POWER who unites the hearts of those who sincerely worship Him in Spirit and in truth.

Celebrating the birth of Christ will draw you closer to Him as you learn to embrace His humanity.  The overshadowing effect of His presence must be experienced to fully appreciate what it means to truly know Him.  Allow your flesh to die to the natural things of this life in order to comprehend what took place for your sins and mine.

The world is commercializing what they don’t understand as a token of their love of money.  But as Christians we must look deeper into the WORD of God to grasp an understanding of what Christmas is all about.  Things will never replace the void of not having a relationship with The Christ who paid the price for all mankind.

The real story is told in the BIBLE but do you really understand that God sent His Son to be Praised, Worshipped and Honored above everything and everyone on earth?  The Bible declares, “GLORY TO GOD IN THE HIGHEST, and on Earth peace, good will toward men.” (Luke 2:14)

Men of all race and statue are looking for glory in themselves but allegiance should only be focused on God and His Only Begotten Son Jesus.  As the Holy Spirit leads and guides your heart this season, please give more attention to the purpose and cause for such an awesome occasion to exist in your life.
