Satisfied with Jesus Alone

Minister Marienetta Williams

There is never an option when it comes to serving Jesus.  The Bible declares, “That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”(Philippians 2:10-11)  You can believe this scripture with all of your heart because one way or another, it shall come to pass.

We are living in a time of great dissatisfaction.  It is sad to say, but it is not only the world looking for someone or something else to fill the void but this same spirit is tricking the Church.  Discontentment is tugging at the hearts of the young as well as the elders.  Whatever life’s pleasures are, there is no substitute for JESUS.

Proverbs 17:22 says “A merry heart does good like a medicine:  but a broken spirit dries the bones.”  A little laughter, good clean fun is never despised by God.  His desire is that we enjoy life in a godly manner, keeping Him first in all things.

Being “SATIFIED WITH JESUS ALONE” means, you allow your choices to please Him without compromising your integrity.  At the end of the day, rest and peace is yours to enjoy.

If your conversation betrays you creating a controversy in your head, as if a war is going on in the spirit of your mind, it is at this time the enemy is trying to possess your soul to do evil instead of good.  Consider the source of your strength.  If you are in the kingdom, draw from the fountain of FAITH JESUS continually sustain you with.  The CROSS is all you need and shall ever need to lay down your weaknesses, to be resurrected in strength and power from on high.

The dynamic of God’s GRACE is what makes the Saints of God perfect in weakness.  There is never room for JESUS and another.  True contentment is ONLY found in HIM.  The answer to your dilemma is not in what, but WHOM.  Things, money, position, politic, or possessions cannot take the place of a true and living God who loves unconditionally.

The Scriptures declares, “Therefore listen unto me, you men of understanding:  far be it from God that He should do wickedness; and from the Almighty, that He should commit iniquity.  For the work of a man shall He render unto him, and cause every man to find according to his ways.” (Job 34:10-11)  Tell yourself, being “SATIFIED WITH JESUS ALONE,” is certainly enough.  AMEN
