Welcome back to another great school year!  Our administrative and teacher leaders have been busy this summer. Our teachers along with our technology, construction, and support staffs have been working diligently to ready our schools for the 2014-2015 school year.

As you may know, Ascension Parish School System is ranked 3rd in the state's academic accountability program. We are once again setting high expectations for our students this school year. We are moving full speed ahead with our rigorous academic goals, aimed at preparing every child for the end result: a positive college and/or career experience. I have confidence that our teachers, from pre-school through 12th grade on our 28 campuses, are equipped with the tools, the skills and the motivation to make these goals a reality.

In addition, I am grateful to the citizens of Ascension who value high-quality education. To accomplish these rigorous academic goals, our school system must have adequate resources that are vital for success. We thank each and every parent, and all of our community stakeholders, for their continuous support and encouragement.

Please visit our website, Facebook or Twitter for information throughout the school year, and I invite and encourage you to visit and stay involved in our schools.  For a quick overview of our district accomplishments and goals, please see our recently published 2014 Community Report in the local community newspapers on Thursday, Aug. 21, or visit www.apsb.org.

With kind regards,

Patrice Pujol, Ed.D.
