Cox Sr., George Lee

He passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2015, at 2:11 a.m. at his home in Prairieville. He was a native of New Orleans and was and 62. He was a member of Baton Rouge 3rd Ward Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Private memorial service.

Lawrence, Estella "Tu-Tut"

She passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2015, at Prevost Memorial Hospital in Donaldsonville. She was 86, a native and resident of Belle Rose. Burial in the Greater Israel Baptist Church cemetery.

Marino, Irma Lanoix

She passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2015, at the age of 88, at the Carpenter House. She was a native of Smoke Bend and resident of Baton Rouge/Geismar. She was a 1943 graduate of Donaldsonville High School. She retired from South Central Bell after 40 years of service as a supervisor. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters and the Telephone Pioneers of America. Interment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park.

Simoneaux, Harold Paul

He died at his residence in Prairieville. He was 70. He was retired from Bell South with over 30 years of service as well as a U.S. Army Veteran who served time in Vietnam and Germany. He was a volunteer Fire Fighter and a member of the American Legion, Jaycee's and NRA. A Memorial Gathering was held on Saturday, March 14 at Community Worship Center, Belle Rose.

Scivicque, Theresa Pinion Sanchez

She was a resident of Maurepas and passed away Friday, March 13, 2015. She was born on Saturday, August 11, 1934, in Maurepas. She was 80. Interment in Maurepas Cemetery.

St. Amant, Evelyn Cook

She passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2015, at 2:45 p.m. at The Crossing in Baton Rouge. She was 102 years old born on November 25, 1912, in Norwoodand a resident of Prairieville. She was a retired beautician and former co-owner of Beauty Bungalo and a member of Little Prairie Baptist Church. Interment in Prairieville Community Cemetery.

Taillon, Connie Babin

Native of Gonzales passed away March 13, 2015 at the age of 84. A loving wife, mother and grandmother. Connie is survived by husband Arthur “Junior” Taillon. Sons Barry Taillon and wife Brenda and Kevin Taillon and wife Rene. Grandchildren Sheree, Stephanie, B.J., Jonathan, Liza Talley, Alyssa Hodgeson. Great grandchildren Lane and Olivia Talley and Natalie Taillon, siblings and In-laws Thomas, Raynauld and Thelma Babin, Evelyn and James Standle. Proceeded in death by parents Elphege and Julie Babin, brother Norwood Babin, sister-in-law Amelia Babin. Retired from South Central Bell and owner of Taillon's Stop and Shop. Lifetime member of Gonzales Boat Club, Jambalaya Association and United Daughters of the Confederacy. Visitation was Tuesday, March 17 from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Theresa of Avila of Gonzales. Burial followed at Cornerview Cemetery. Vicknair, John Nolan

He was born June 25, 1944 in Maurpas and passed away on March 9, 2015. He was a boilermaker by trade who worked 40 years. Burial in Colyell Cementary.

Wolfe Sr., George W.

A resident of Gonzales and native of Joliet, IL, he passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at his home. He was retired from Motiva with 30 years of service as a Maintenance Foreman and Supervisor. A memorial visitation was held at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales on Friday, March 13. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
