Andermann, Ronald Anthony "Tony"

He was 57 and passed away on Friday, September 5, 2014, at the Richard Murphy Hospice House in Hammond. He was born December 2, 1956 in Gonzales. He grew up in Hammond and graduated from Hammond High School in 1974. He worked for the Department of Transportation in Baton Rouge before he joined the Navy (1987 - 1991). He served as a Medic and was stationed in the Philippines during Desert Storm. Then he worked at University of Arizona Medical Center in Tucson, Arizona. Visitation was held at Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 9 with visitation following. Interment services were private.

Causey, Leo Cline

He passed away on Monday, September 1, 2014, at his home. A graduate of Gonzales High School, an Army veteran of the Korean War, he was a retired operator with BASF after 39 years of service. He was a resident of Prairieville and native of Galvez. Burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Galvez.

Ester, Nellie Jones

A homemaker, a native of St. James and a resident of Donaldsonville, she passed away on Friday, August 29, 2014. She was 86. Burial in Mt. Calvary Baptist Church cemetery, St. James.

Garantine, Bobby Lee

A resident of Gonzales and native of Baton Rouge, he passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2014, in St. James Parish. He was 53. Burial in the Bowman-Dedon Cemetery, St. Francisville.

Hadnott, Cynthia Elaine (Leatherman)

She passed away at 1:06 p.m. Monday, Sept. 1, 2014, at Baton Rouge General (Bluebonnet). She was 66. A native of DeRidder, she lived in Gonzales and worked as the Governor of Elderly Affairs. Her funeral was held at Hall's Celebration Center at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, with visitation following. Burial was private.

Hendrick, Landon Glen

Landon Glen Hendrick was born in Chattanooga, TN and was a long time resident of Prairieville, LA. He was a 2009 Graduate of Dutchtown High School. Landon passed away on Friday, September 5, 2014. He is survived by his father, Glen Hendrick; sister, Heather Hendrick; nephew, Connor Robison; paternal grandparents, Dean and Barbara Hendrick; stepmother, Lori Chauvin; step-sister, Kelly and husband Chuck Acosta, and Haley Chauvin; step-brother, B.J. Chauvin; Aunt, Deananne Creekmore and husband Jamie; uncles, Barry Hendrick and wife Knoel, Lance Hendrick and wife Brianne; cousins Daniel and Joseph Creekmore, Hope, Grace, Faith, Jayden, and Austin Hendrick, and countless friends. Never, has a kinder, more gentle soul or tender heart, graced this earth. Words cannot express the magnitude of this loss or how deeply he will be missed by those who knew and loved him. He will always be in our thoughts and forever in our hearts. Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Visitation will resume on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales from 9:00 am until service time at 11:00 am. Interment will immediately follow at Oak Lane Memorial Park (15304 Hwy. 73 Prairieville, LA 70769). Holsomback, Margaret Cashio

Margaret Cashio Holsomback, age 84, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 28, 2014. She was a native of Baton Rouge and resident of Gonzales. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Omega Chapter 1. She is survived by sister, Mary Sue Plauche; brother, Paul and wife, Audry Cashio; grandchildren, Richard D. Lineski, Lloyd Reginald Lineski; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Dominic and Angelina Peranio Cashio; her loving husband, Walter G. Holsomback; sisters, Angelina Humble, Frances Sharpe, Bessie Calamia; nephew, James Earl Humble Jr.; niece, Paula Humble Ingle. Visitation was held on Saturday, August 30, at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales. Interment in at Roselawn Memorial Park, Baton Rouge.

James, Lucielle Denham

A resident of Baton Rouge and passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2014. She was 97. She was born on March 24, 1917, in Galvez. She was a homemaker and an seamstress. She was a member of Winbourne Avenue Baptist Church for over 60 years. Burial in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.

Landry, Annie Rita (Bower)

She was 89 and passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Gonzales. Entombment in Lafayette Memorial Cemetery. She was a member of the St. Anne Society, the Catholic Daughters and also a Ladies Rosary Group. She was also a member of the Cathedral of St. John Catholic Church Community and the St. John's Altar Society.

LeBlanc Jr., Carlton Joseph

He passed away August 15, 2014 at his home at age 50. He was a lifelong resident of Sorrento. A memorial service was held Saturday, September 6 at the Sorrento Baptist Church in Sorrento.

Morand, Andrew "Andy" "Poppie" Harold

He was born on April 13, 1917 in New Orleans. He lived there for 88 years until his death on August 28, 2014 at 6:45 a.m. at his residence in Donaldsonville. He joined the United States Army and served in World War II. He was an entrepreneur and the sole proprietor of Morand's Bar in New Orleans. Interment in St Roch cemetery, New Orleans.

Savage, Jacqueline Ann "Wackey Jackey Lackey"

She was 59, a native of Paincourtville and resident of Gonzales. She lost her almost 2 year battle with cancer on Wednesday, September 3, 2014. Visiting will be at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales on Saturday, September 13, 2014 from 10 am until memorial service at noon.

Stephens, Rev. Job

He passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2014, at 79. He was a retiree of the Ascension Parish School System and a resident of Gonzales. Interment: New St. Peter Baptist Church cemetery, Gonzales.

Watson, Linda

Linda Watson, native of Columbia, MS and resident of Prairieville, LA, passed away on Sunday, August 31, 2014 at the age of 60. She was a business owner and is survived by her father, Dennis Watson; children, Chris Wells and Melissa Simpson; grand-daughter, Caroline Simpson; and siblings, James Watson, Mike Watson, and Rene’ Watson. She is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Watson. Visitation was observed at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, on Thursday, September 4, 2014 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. A memorial service followed at 7:00 pm, conducted by Bruce Worrell. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeremy Watson, Michael Watson, TJ Simpson, Brian Campbell, and Chris Chevalier.
