A retired mechanical supervisor, passed away Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014. He was 85, a native and resident of St. Amant. Interment in New River Baptist Church cemetery. St. Amant. He was a Mason.

Brown, Doris J.

She passed away Sunday Feb. 9, 2014 at the age of 85. She was a native of Denham Springs and a resident of Gonzales. She was the owner of the Weber City Bar for 55 years. Burial in Resthaven Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Baton Rouge.

Brown, Martha Francis Lobell

She passed away on Thursday Feb. 6, 2014 at the age of 87. She was a native of Lubbock, TX, and a longtime resident of French Settlement. She worked in the Fabric department of West Brothers, Woolco and Wal-Mart in Gonzales. Burial in OLPH cemetery in Head of Island.

Dupree, Roy

The Lord above met another angel at heaven’s gates. A loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great grandfather went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 10, 2014, at the home of his daughter in Denham Springs, LA at the age of 70 years old. He was born in Weisner, LA and resided in Denham Springs. He was retired from Local 406 known as the “Best heavy equipment operator of all times.” For the last 30 years he has spent time doing what he loved, his passion, playing and singing Blue Grass and gospel music. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Elaine Dupree; son and daughter in law, Danny and Dawn Dupree; daughter, Shari Dupree; three sisters, Joann Wroten, Vickie Cavin, and Charlotte Dupree; three brothers, Felton Dupree, Henry Dupree, and Thomas Dupree; four grandsons, Brad Simpson, Chase Templet, Victor Picard, and Blake Dupree; three granddaughters, Lauren Simpson, Paige Moreau, and Bayleigh Picard; two great grandchildren, Braxton Templet and Aubrey Templet. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ozora Ferrington Dupree; father, Ellis Dupree; sister, Ruth L. Dupree. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd, on Thursday, February 13, 2014, from 2 PM until 8 PM and will resume on Friday, February 14, 2014, from 10 AM until service at 12 PM conducted by friend and pastor, Jim Carlisle. A Life Celebration will follow after Interment at Greenoaks Reception Center. Pallbearers will be Danny Dupree, Blake Dupree, Brad Simpson, Chase Templet, Felton Dupree, and Henry Dupree. Honorary pallbearer will be Thomas Dupree. A special thanks to St. Joseph Hospice, the LVAD team at Ocshner of NOLA and to his caregiver and friend, Judy Thigpen. She passed away on Monday Feb. 3, 2014. She was born in Donaldsonville, on July 31, 1926. A visitation was held at The Ascension of Our Lord Church in Donaldsonville Thursday, Feb. 6, followed by Mass. Interment will be private.

Jones, Gracie Bell

A native of Lake and a resident of Prairieville, she passed away at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014, due to COPD. She was of the Pentecostal faith, was 92, and a housewife. Entombment in Life Church Cemetery in Galvez.

Langevin, Cynthia Ann

A native of California and resident of Zachary, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014. She was 57 and a Sales Employee of G.N. Gonzales for over 30 years. Visitation and religious service were held Monday Feb. 10, at Wesley Funeral Home In Plaquemine.

O'Gwynn, Ramsey Alexandra

A native of Baton Rouge and a resident of Prairieville, she passed away at on Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014. Interment in Hope Haven Cemetery in Gonzales.

Beverly Roy Quezada

She passed away Sunday, Feb. 2, 2014, at the age of 64. She was a resident of Denham Springs. A gathering to celebrate her eternal life was held on Saturday, Feb. 8. The service was held at The Church in St. Amant, St. Amant.

Stubbs, Catherine Pizzolato

A talented artist, she passed away at 2:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 31, 2014 at North Point Health Care in Baton Rouge. She was 81. She was a native of Donaldsonville and a resident of Central. Visitation were held at Seale Funeral Home, Central, on Saturday, Feb. 8, with a memorial Service following in the funeral home chapel. She was a nondenominational Christian.

Thibodeaux, Lloyd Joseph

Lloyd Joseph Thibodeaux, age 81, died at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, Feb.10, 2014 at St. Joseph’s Carpenter House in Baton Rouge. He was a native of Breaux Bridge and a resident of Gonzales. He served in the Air Force and later retired from Texaco refinery after a long career. He will be remembered best for the beautiful vegetables and flowers that he grew and shared with countless people. His wife, Thelma Jean Thibodeaux, precedes him in death. He is survived by 3 daughters and their spouses, Kevin and Denise Schexnayder, Roy and Susan Hodgeson, Thomas and Sandra Griffiths, a son and spouse, Kenneth and Renee Thibodeaux, 10 grandchildren, Blaine Melancon, Jr., Jerik Melancon, Daniel Melancon, Kyle Melancon, Stephanie Jones, Jesse Hodgeson, Cindy Revelle, Markus Revelle, Lauren Griffiths and Chase Thibodeaux, and 14 great grandchildren. A sister, Vivian Cormier and a sister-in-law, Mary Thibodeaux, also survive him. There will be a private memorial for immediate family. A native of Gonzales and resident of St. Amant, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014. She was 83. Burial in Hope Haven Garden of Memories in Gonzales.

Zeller, Hilda Grace

A native and resident of Gonzales, she died on Sunday Feb. 2, 2014. She was 90. Burial in Hope Haven Cemetery, Hwy. 30 in Gonzales. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary.
