Bourque, Jay Michael

He was 29, a resident and native of Gonzales. He passed away Friday, Feb. 15 at his home. Visiting was at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales on Wednesday, Feb. 20. Visiting will resume on Thursday, Feb. 21, at St. Theresa Catholic Church, Gonzales from 8:30 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am. Burial to follow in St. Theresa Cemetery.

Duplessis, Marcus John "Marc"

Age 58, a resident of Galvez, he passed away at Baton Rouge General Bluebonnet on Friday, Feb. 15, 2013. Burial will follow in Prairieville Cemetery. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 8147 and a member of St. Mark Catholic Church in Gonzales.

Fontenot, Stefan Joseph

He was born in Sorrento, on Sept. 28, 1947. He passed away on Feb. 12, 2013 at the Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge. Entombment at Oak Lane Memorial, 15304 Highway 73, Prairieville. Stefan and his wife Cheryl were the founders of The Jambalaya Shoppe.

Graffeo, Lois

She was 94. She was a native of Oak Grove and resident of Donaldsonville. She passed away on Friday, Feb. 15, 2013. Entombment at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Mausoleum.

King, Dorothy Margaret Bourque

A resident of Gonzales, she passed away on Feb. 11, 2013 at her residence. Entombment at Hope Haven Mausoleum, Prairieville.

Lambert, Stella Marie Bourgeois

A resident of the Gonzales, she passed away on Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013 after a battle from Alzheimer's disease. She was born July 3, 1936, in St. Amant. Burial in Cornerview Cemetery, Gonzales.

Lilly, Juanita M. "Gammaw"

She passed away Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013 at her home. She was 73 and a retired nurse for the state of Louisiana Department of Corrections. Services were held at The Church at St. Amant, 13423 LA Hwy. 431, St. Amant, on Saturday, Feb. 16.

Mayers, Joseph Clark

He passed away on Feb. 5, 2013 in Kansas City, MO. He was born Nov. 23, 1937 in the rural community of Brignac in Ascension Parish and, though he lived his adult life many miles from his childhood home, he always considered St. Amant to be his true home and his childhood friends in Louisiana to be his true friends. Visitation was held at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in St. Amant, on Feb. 14. A funeral Mass followed by burial with full military honors at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

Mitchell, Betty Jo Ford

A homemaker and resident of Donaldsonville, she passed away at 7 a.m. Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, Baton Rouge. She was 61 and a native of Gloster, Miss. Interment in St. Phillip Baptist Church cemetery.

Ruiz, Marie (Alleman)

She passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, at age 90, after a battle with dementia. She was born on Feb. 22, 1922. She was a native of Donaldsonville and resident of Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Napoleonville. Interment in the Ascension of Our Lord Cemetery.

Sambola, Thomas Philip "Tom"

He born Sept. 15, 1947, and passed away on Feb. 14, 2013 at Baton Rouge General. He retired from the music industry as a Merchandise Distributor and also recently retired from Gonzales Tire in the Sales Dept. He was a resident of Gonzales. Burial in Lusk Cemetery, Gonzales.

Samson, Velma Bourgeois

She was 87. She was a native of Norco and a resident of Prairieville. She passed on Sunday, Feb. 10. She was a graduate of Destrehan High School and Spencer Business College in Baton Rouge. She was a member of the Baton Rouge Business and Professional Women's Club of Louisiana, a longtime member of St. Gerard Majella Catholic Church and a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park.

Williams, Kenyon D.

A laborer, he died Monday, Feb. 11, 2013 at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 35, a native and resident of Donaldsonville. Services were was held at Williams & Southall Funeral Home, 101 Loop 945, Donaldsonville, Monday, Feb. 18.
