Blanchard, Sybil Ann       

A self-employed sitter and a resident of Donaldsonville, she died Wednesday, April 1, 2009, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 55 and a native of Paincourtville. Entombment in St. Ann Mausoleum, Napoleonville.

Darville Sr., Joseph W.       

A resident of Baton Rouge, he died at 2:21 a.m. Friday, March 27, 2009. He was 78 and a native of Dutchtown.  Interment will be at Resthaven Gardens of Memory Cemetery, 11817 Jefferson Highway, Baton Rouge.

Joseph, Valerie Brown “Val”        

A secretary with BASF Corp. and a resident and native of Prairieville, she died Thursday, March 26, 2009, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Gonzales. She was 31. Interment in Mount Gillion Baptist Church Cemetery.

Innes, Martha Caldwell        

Martha Caldwell Innes, 86, of Miramar Beach, Fla., and formerly of Maurepas, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 17, 2009. Martha was born in Lake Charles on May 12, 1922, to Andrew Thompson and Lena May Cook Caldwell. She was the fifth of eight children. She graduated from LSU Law School in 1947 and was a member of the Law Review. She married Theodore John Innes Jr., of Raton, N.M., on March 11, 1944. They had seven children. Martha worked at the LSU Law Institute from 1948-1962. Supporting her husband's career with Exxon, she lived in Baton Rouge, New Jersey and Brussels, Belgium, before returning in 1978 to their retirement home on the Amite River. She practiced law until 2003. She enjoyed gardening, swimming, playing bridge, Bible studies and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ted; oldest son, Richard; and five of her siblings. She is survived by six children, Elizabeth McBurney, M.D., and her partner, Mozelle Frugé, of Lafayette, Mary Jane Morgan and her husband, Bobby, of Houston, Elonide DaGian and her husband, Glenn, of Spicewood, Texas, Susan Von Hoene and her husband, Bill, of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla., Michael Innes and his wife, Debbie, of The Woodlands, Texas, and William Innes and his wife, Amy, of Seguin, Texas; 15 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Elonide Medus, of Jennings, and Jane Williams, of Virginia Beach, Va. The memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church on Monday, April 13, at 10 a.m., preceded by a rosary at 9 a.m. Remembering Martha’s love of fresh flowers, bouquets may be sent to Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd. If you want to make a donation in Martha’s memory, please send it to a charity of your choice. Keller, James Gordon “Jimmy”       

The retired owner and director of St. Jude Clinic in Mexico and owner of Keller Soft Water Co., he died Friday, April 3, 2009, in Prairieville. He was 75, a resident of Prairieville, a native of Baton Rouge and a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War. Visiting at the funeral home Tuesday, April 7, from noon until burial service at 2 p.m. Interment in Carpenter’s Chapel Cemetery, Galvez.

Nezat, Beth   

She passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2009, at home in Prairieville. She was born April 2, 1929. She was a resident of Lincoln Parish for 72 years and a Ascension Parish resident since November 2001. Visitation at Owens Memorial, Ruston, Tuesday, April 7, from 5-8 p.m. and Wednesday from 8 a.m. until service at 10 a.m. Burial in Tulip Cemetery.

Pearce Jr., Paul Homer “Bubba”   

He passed away at his home in Gonzales on the morning of Friday, April 3, 2009. He served in the U.S. Army for two years as a missile launcher crewman with Company “C” Battery, 2nd Battalion, 56th Artillery. He was born Sept. 2, 1945, in Donaldsonville. He also resided for some time in Reserve and Baton Rouge. He was a graduate of Donaldsonville High School and worked at Shell Oil Co., T-bone plant and Enterprise in Geismar for 31 years.
