Shaver, Ralph       

A retired U.S. Navy veteran and Westinghouse Electric Corp. Union 102 member, he died Friday, March 20, 2009, at his home in Prairieville. He was 73 and a native of Alabama.

Sinanan, Amanda Marie Haydel       

She died Tuesday, March 17, 2009, at 6:45 p.m. at her French Settlement home. She was diagnosed with brain cancer (glioblastoma multiforme) in November 2006. She was 28, born on July 12, 1980, a resident of French Settlement and a native of Gonzales. Interment in the St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery, French Settlement.  She was a graduate of St. Theresa of Avila Catholic School, East Ascension High School and River Parishes Community College. She was employed as an administrative assistant by Tracer/Tyco Thermal Controls in Baton Rouge until the onset of her illness.
