Aymond, Dorothy Eleanor
Dorothy Eleanor Aymond, age of 83, entered into eternal rest on Jan. 21, 2009, at her home in Bonneau, S.C. Born Jan. 13, 1929 in Maurepas, Dorothy (better known as Pat) was the daughter of Steve and Eloine Lauzervich. She was preceded in her death by her brothers Royal and Alden Lauzervich Sr., and sisters Elfreda Batts and Ruth Bateman. Pat was a retired registered nurse and former member of New River Baptist Church in St. Amant, and a member of First Baptist Church of Bonneau, S.C. A devoted Christian, she is survived by James M. Aymond, her devoted husband of 58 years; her daughter Amy Smith of St. Amant, and her son James K. Aymond, MD of Mount Pleasant, S.C. She is also survived by five granddaughters, Mary Elizabeth Shaheen of Port Vincent, Margaret Claire Halker of French Settlement, Elizabeth Nicole Aymond, Caitlin Marie Aymond, and Emily Grace Aymond of Mount Pleasant, SC. Pat is also survived by a cherished great-grandson, Colin Hunter Shaheen of French Settlement. Funeral services include viewing at 11 a.m., and funeral services at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 24 at New River Baptist Church with Rev. Leon Carpenter officiating. Burial will follow immediately at New River Baptist Church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials may be made to Hospice of Charleston, 3870 Leeds Avenue, suite 101, North Charleston, SC 29405, or your local hospice.
Alexander, Barbara Ann
A native of Convent and a resident of Prairieville, she died at her home at 6:21 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2009. She was 67. Interment in Michael’s Catholic Church, Convent Cemetery.
Aucoin, Delores Vicknair
A resident of Gonzales, she died Monday, Jan. 19, 2009, at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She was 55. Interment in Head of Island Catholic Church Cemetery.
Daigle, Robert Joseph
He died Monday, Jan. 19, 2009. Former member of the Louisiana National Guard, 225th Engineers. Retired employee of Borden Co. Dairy Fresh. Native of New Orleans, former resident of Kenner for 47 years and resident for the past three years of Prairieville.
Folse III, Henry Arthur “Tracy”
A resident of McComb, Miss., he passed away at 7:43 p.m. Friday, Jan. 16, 2009, after battling cancer. He was 61 and a native of Donaldsonville. He grew up in Baton Rouge, where he attended LSU and served in the Louisiana National Guard for six years with Company D, 20th Special Forces Group. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
O'Dell Sr., Matthew D.
A resident of St. Amant, he died Friday, Jan. 16, 2009, at his home. He was 49. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Taylor, Don Joseph
He passed away due to melanoma at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center on Sunday, Jan. 18, 2009. Don was born on Oct. 5, 1955, in Gonzales, and was a native of Brittany. He was a self-made architect, engineer, builder, heavy equipment operator and diesel mechanic. The memorial service will be at the home of Don and Betty Taylor on Saturday, Jan. 31, at 1 p.m.
