Crow, Lynn Thomas

A resident of Prairieville, he died at 7:20 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 4, 2009, at his home. He was 64, born at Ryan Field in Baton Rouge. He was a member of the Church of Christ and attended services at the Gonzales location. He was a longtime employee of Vulcan Materials Co. as a production technician. Interment to follow in Hope Haven Garden of Memory, Hwy. 30.


Ozema J. Hue, 94, a native of Pierre Part and a resident of Thibodaux died Jan. 5, 2009 at 10:20 p.m. Visstation was Jan. 7 and Jan. 8 at Thibodaux Funeral Home Chapel. Interment in St. Joseph the Worker, Pierre Part. Survived by his wife, Vicky Stewart Hue; three sons, Jimmy, Harpy and Ernest Hue; four daughters, Emily H. Blanchard, Lucy Mae H. Daigle, Shirley H. Scully and Agnes H. Esteve; a step-son, Charles Griffin; three step-daughters, Judy Chiasson, Jean McCarty and Erainer “Sissy” Hue; and one brother, Albert J. Hue; 24 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; and numerous step-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, Emile and Odelia Templet Hue; first wife, Rosa Hue; and sons, Junius and Percy Hue; step-son, Tillman Griffin; and sisters, Elise Blanchard, Marie Crochet, Eva Fromenthal and Euphrosine Berthelot.

Mayers, Delia Babin

A retired seamstress and resident of Gonzales, she died Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2009. She was 91, a native of Duplessis and a graduate of Dutchtown School. Funeral arrangements are pending with Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales.

Pevey, Horace Ray

A retired security guard and a resident of Gonzales, he died Sunday, Jan. 4, 2009, at 1 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Gonzales. He was 83, a native of Georgetown, Miss., and a U.S. Army veteran, having served in the 377th Infantry Regiment. Graveside service at Port Hudson National Cemetery was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6. He is survived by three daughters, Carolyn Monroe, Angela Carbo and Lee Ann Leonard; two sons, Raymond Pevey and Randy Pevey; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife, Betty Pevey; and son, Ronald Pevey. Arrangements by Renaissance Funeral Service Inc.

Wilson, Roland “Coline”

Roland “Coline” Wilson, a lifelong of St Gabriel, died on Jan. 2, 2009. He was 53. Visitation at Hambrick’s Family Mortuary, Gonzales; Saturday, Jan. 10, 2009 from 10 -11 a.m. religious service time. Conducted by Rev. Alfred Thomas. Interment in Mt. Bethel Cemetery, Carville. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife Beatrice Wilson, Schenectady, NY; a daughter Heavenly Wilson, Schenectady, NY; devoted sister Verna Mae Tatney, Baton Rouge; one brother, Ronald Wilson, St Gabriel, one step-brother James Johnson, Baton Rouge; three step sisters: Royce (Eugene) Stewart, Eula and Lois Johnson, all of St Gabriel; five aunts Ellen Gaines, Hazel Wilson, Ella Lou Wilson, Leola Garner and Alma Wilson all of St. Gabriel; one sister-in-law, Annette Wilson of St. Gabriel and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by parents, Wilbert WIlson Sr. and and Doretha Wilson, three sisters, Dorothy Nelson, Evelyn Nelson and Lee Ethel Wilson; and two brothers Wilbert Wilson Jr. and Hebert Wilson Sr.
