Sherrie Despino named to LACCE board

Ascension Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Sherrie Despino was recently named the Treasurer of the Louisiana Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (LACCE).

LACCE Board Members represent chambers of commerce from all areas of the state. The Association is the only statewide association formed for the advancement of local chambers, their executives and staff.

“Collectively, our state Chamber Association can provide a stronger voice for business, notwithstanding the professional development that we take back to our respective community chambers," Murphy said.

The Association holds an annual conference to update chambers across the state on industry trends, business issues, and operations stability. LACCE represents the forty-seven chambers of commerce who represent over ten thousand businesses and over one hundred thousand employees.

Board members for 2017 include Todd Murphy - President Jefferson Chamber of Commerce, Deborah Randolph - Incoming President Central Louisiana Chamber of Commerce, April Wehrs – Past President Livingston Parish Chamber of Commerce, Lynn Guillory – Vermillion Chamber of Commerce, Paula Ramsey – Chamber Southwest, Dawn Sharpe – East St. Tammany Chamber of Commerce, Sandra Lindquist – New Orleans Chamber of Commerce, Jeremy Hidalgo – Broussard Chamber of Commerce, Camille Conaway – Louisiana Association of Business and Industry, Michelle Cavanaugh – Bossier Chamber of Commerce, Amy S. Thibodeaux—Crowley Chamber of Commerce and Dr. Timothy J. Magner—Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce.
