Public Service Commissioner Eric Skrmetta named President of Entergy Regional State Committee
At the annual Entergy Regional State Committee (E-RSC) meeting held in Little Rock, Ark., the organization named Louisiana Public Service Commissioner Eric Skrmetta as its President.
The committee is comprised of members of the Arkansas Public Service Commission, Louisiana Public Service Commission, Mississippi Public Service Commission, Public Utility Commission of Texas and the City Council of New Orleans. Entergy’s Retail Regulators formed the Entergy Regional State Committee in 2009 to provide collective retail regulatory agency input on the operations of and upgrades to the Entergy Transmission System as well as operations and functions of the Independent Coordinator of Transmission (ICT) in the Entergy region.
Skrmetta previously served as E-RSC Vice-President and replaces President Brandon Presley of the Mississippi PSC.
“I am eager to accept the responsibilities of president,” Skrmetta said. “This body helps identify and evaluate issues that determine the future operations of Entergy’s system for the good of the consumer.”
The E-RSC reviews and previews a wide range of issues from governmental relations, competitive transmission development, metrics reporting, compliance benchmarking and integration with member agencies through a service agreement with the Midwest Independent Transmission System Operator.
