More than a million Louisianans are without power Monday as the state surveys the damage left by Hurricane Ida.
Ida made landfall Sunday as a Category 4 hurricane
Entergy reported Sunday night that all eight transmission lines that delivered power to New Orleans were out of service.
"It will likely take days to determine the extent of damage to our power grid in metro New Orleans and far longer to restore electrical transmission to the region," a tweet from Entergy New Orleans said Monday morning.
As of 8 a.m. Friday, Sept. 3, Entergy reported that 861,110 of their customers were reporting power outages, most of which are concentrated in Louisiana and Mississippi. Demco reported 54,853 without power.
