UPDATE: Three taken to hospital after three-vehicle collision on U.S. 290

Three people have been taken to hospitals after a three-vehicle crash on a U.S. 290 frontage road in Northeast Austin on Sunday afternoon, according to Austin-Travis County EMS.

Ambulances took two people to the Dell Seton Medical Center and one child to Dell Children's Medical Center. One person was extricated from the wreckage by firefighters, EMS said.

Authorities advise drivers to expect delays in the area around the intersection of U.S. 290 and Cameron Road.
