As part of Louisiana Arbor Day Planting, the Gonzales Garden Club donated a $100 check to the Jambalaya Festival Association (JFA) on Jan. 20. The donation will go towards landscaping of the new JFA building on S. Francois in Gonzales.

"I appreciate everything the Garden Club does for us," said JFA President Wally Taillon. "Every little bit helps. To be a non-profit, they are a non-profit also, it's all about helping each other."

In regards to the JFA, Gonzales Mayor Barney Arceneaux said that this year's Jambalaya Festival will once again be held on Irma Blvd., despite the flood damage that occurred from the August floods.
