Bercegeay, Carole Smith

A native of Dutchtown and a resident of Belle River, she died Thursday, July 14, 2015, at her home. Visitation and memorial services were at Christian Church of Pierre Part on Tuesday, July 2.

Bihm, Danné Lisa LeBlanc

She died unexpectedly at her home in Gonzales at the age of 59, on Monday, July 13, 2015. She was born Aug. 31, 1955, in Baton Rouge and was a lifelong resident of Gonzales. She was the daughter of Carletta "Bonnie" Berteau Braud and Sully John LeBlanc. Danné was formerly employed by Purpera and Sons. She enjoyed bowling, playing darts, visiting with friends and spending time with her son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren. She is survived by her son, Ryan Bihm and wife Nicole; grandchildren, Anna and Colton; lifelong partner, Nona "Noonie" Dixon; sister, Dee LeBlanc Babin; brothers, David LeBlanc and wife Charlene, Darrel LeBlanc; nieces and nephews, Joe Brien, Doug DeGraw, Blake DeGraw, Courtney LeBlanc Thomas, Shana LeBlanc, Taylor Babin, Jayme Babin; and numerous great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Sully John LeBlanc; mother, Carletta "Bonnie" Berteau Braud; sister, Donna DeGraw; and nephew, Nicholas LeBlanc. She will be dearly missed by all. Visitation was held on Saturday, July 18, at Ourso Funeral Home of Gonzales with a memorial service following.

Galland, Laurice Armoney

A native of Gramercy and resident of Prairieville, she passed away July 14, 2015. She was 86. She was a retired hair dresser of 33 years. Visitation was held at Greenoaks Funeral Home chapel, Baton Rouge, on Monday, July 20, followed by a religious service.

Kirby, Vern Edward

He passed away on Wednesday July 15, 2015 at his residence. He was 62. He was born Dec. 17, 1952 at Caldwell Air Force Base in Fort Worth, Texas. He was the owner and operator of Kirby Masonry.

Long, Gloria Ann

She passed away on Monday, July 20, 2015 at the age of 72. She was born in Baton Rouge on Sept. 8, 1942. She graduated from St. Gabriel High School in 1960 and in 2005 she retired from the Ascension Parish School Board as a secretary with 21 years of service. Visitation and service were held at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales on Tuesday, July 21.

Morgan, Leona Marie 'Lee'

A native of Brignac and a resident of Ascension Oaks Nursing Home in Gonzales, she passed away on July 19, 2015. She was a homemaker, and was 92. Entombment in Holy Rosary Catholic Church cemetery.

Norris, Margaret Eleanor

She passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2015. She was born on Jan. 30, 1958 in Atlanta, Georgia. She was past president of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary, former Girl Scout Leader, and a Committee Member with the Boy Scouts of America Troop 69 (T-69) of St. Amant, for the past 20 years. Burial in Cornerview Cemetery, Gonzales.

Poche, Paul J.

He passed away on Monday, July 13, 2015, at the age of 84. He was a retired cane farmer, an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and a member of the VFW. He was born in Paulina and was a resident of Gonzales. Entombment in Hope Haven Garden of Memory Cemetery, Gonzales.

Posseno Sr., Michael Christopher "Mike"

He passed at his home on Sunday, July 12, 2015 at the age of 66. He was born in New Orleans on Dec. 6, 1948. He was a resident of Gonzales and a retired plant operator with Shell Oil Refinery in Convent. He attended LSU and graduated from the Charity Hospital School of Radiological Technology. He volunteered at the Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center. Visitation was held at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales on Wednesday, July 15 and resumed Thursday, July 16 at St. Mark Catholic Church, Gonzales, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial. A private burial will be held at a later date.

Rome, Bernadine Marie Carter

A Paraprofessional at Donaldsonville Primary School, employed with the Ascension Parish School Board, she passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Baton Rouge General Medical Center. She was 61 and a resident of Donaldsonville. Interment in Virginia Baptist Church Cemetery, Belle Rose.
