Local Non-Profit Theatre presents third production of 11th Season: I Love You Nana

UpStage Theatre Company is proud to present I LOVE YOU NANA, the third production of its eleventh season. Written by Christine Houston creator of the 1980's hit NBC comedy 227; this two-act comedy with a serious tone reveals how events in childhood can affect adult relationships with elderly family members.

Says the production's director, Dr. Ava Brewster-Turner, who is also the Founder of UpStage Theatre: "The playwright does a phenomenal job in weaving the serious subject of the treatment of the elderly with a touch of humor in a way that audiences will not be offended. I'm excited to have this great cast on stage to tell such a powerful story."

Ashley Downing is featured in the title role as Nana; Will Merrill is Nana's beloved grandson Melvin; Nikki Nadkarni plays Melvin's troubled-wife, Doris; Crystal Jefferson is Grace, Doris' best friend; and Jacoby Alexander is Jasper, Grace's boyfriend and Melvin's best friend.
