Amedee, Robert H.

He passed away at his home in Gonzales on Tuesday, June 30, 2015. He graduated from Dutchtown High School and Moler Barber College; a member of Knights of Columbus 2657, and a former Gonzales City Alderman.  For 43 years, he owned and operated Riverside Barber Shop. Interment in Hope Haven Garden of Memory, Gonzales.

Barnett, Carol M.

She passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2015, at the age of 84. A lifelong Louisiana resident, she spent the last 15 years living in Prairieville. A devout Christian, she enjoyed contributing her time to the First Presbyterian Church in Baton Rouge. Prior to her retirement in 2011, she worked as an administrative assistant at Padial Real Estate in Baton Rouge. Before her career in real estate, she worked in radio for over 30 years. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park.

Bennett, Christine Elizabeth

She passed away on July 1, 2015. She attended French Settlement High School where she was to be a junior this year. Burial in St. Joseph Catholic Church cemetery, French Settlement.

Delmore, Emma Mae

A lifelong resident of Gonzales, she passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2015, at her resident. She was 87.  Interment St. Paul Baptist Church cemetery.

Fontenot, Wilson J.

He passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2015, at 5 p.m., at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 65. He was a resident of Gonzales and native of White Hall. He was a retired shop foreman with Hebert Steel Inc.  Burial in St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Cemetery. He was a member of St. Mark Catholic Church.

Jacobs, Gertrude

A native of Lakeland and a resident of Geismar, she passed away on Monday, June 29, 2015, at age 76. Visitation and services were held at Grant's Westside Funeral Services on Sunday, July 5.

McLendon, Sylvia Ann Albert

She passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 her residence at the age of 66 after a long battle with Cancer. A retired caregiver, she was a resident of Prairieville and a native of Plaquemine. Interment in Grace Memorial Park, Plaquemine.

Morris, Camilla Guercio

She passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2015. A lifelong resident of Donaldsonville, she was born May 10, 1931 in White Castle. For 25 years she was a retreat captain for the Cenacle as well as Past President of the Ladies Auxiliary for the American Legion Post 98. Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 8 at Ascension of our Lord Catholic Church in Donaldsonville. Private burial will be held at a later date.

Pickering, Floretta "Flo"

She passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2015. She was 81, a native of Danevang, TX and a resident of Prairieville. A private family service will be held at a later date.

Roussel, Gilbert Paul "Gil"

He passed away at his home on July 2, 2015, after a short battle with cancer. He was 62. He was born in Lutcher and resided in St. Amant for the past 27 years. He was a millwright/millwright planner/supervisor for Chicago Bridge & Iron in Geismar.  He was a member of the United States Army. A memorial service will be held at a later date.  

Thibodaux, Rita Chenvert

She passed away on June 30, 2015. She was a native of Gross Tete and resident of Donaldsonville.  She was 92. Burial in St. John the Evangelist  cemetery.
