Adkins, Willie A. "Nana"

She passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2015, at 4 a.m. at her home. She was 92. A resident of Prairieville and native of Davis, OK. Interment at Hope Haven Garden of Memory.

Babin, Gregory John

A native of Lutcher and a resident of Prairieville, passed away at his home. He was 66. He was born on Sept. 12, 1948. A graduate of Lutcher High School, he was a veteran of the United States Air Force, and worked for many years at Agrico Chemical in Donaldsonville. He was also a professional photographer, who worked in Ascension and neighboring parishes. He was a member of the Ascension Amateur Radio Club where he was known as "KD5IJE". Burial in St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery.

Braud, Vernis Ann “Tiny”

March 2, 1920-June 20, 2015

A Mass of Christian burial was conducted for Mrs. Ann Braud, age 95, at St. Mark Catholic Church at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2015, with Rev. Rubin Reynolds officiating. Interment followed at Hope Haven Garden of Memory Cemetery in Gonzales. Mrs. Braud passed away Saturday, June 20, 1915, at Ascension Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, crafting and flower arranging. She will be dearly missed by all who love her. She is survived by her son, Lloyd Jr. and Margaret Braud; daughters, Bonnie and James Sanchez, Sheryl and Wayne Perrien; sisters, Hazel Poirier and the late Jack Poirier, Doris and the late Eldred Castleberry, Joyce and Jay Haydel; sister-in-law Theresa Granier; brothers, Milton and Connie Granier, Adrien Granier, Roy Granier; grandchildren, Robby and Jodi LeBlanc, Robbin and Lane Braud, Rhonda and James Wiles, Ryan LeBlanc, Kale Perrien and fiancee, Maggie Brooke, Adrienne Perrien and fiance Justin Robicheaux, eleven great-grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd C. Braud Sr.; parents, Virginia and Adrien Granier; sister, Mildred Granier; brothers, Joseph E. Granier, Albert Joseph Granier, Henry Joseph and Shirley Granier; and son-in-law Robert G. LeBlanc. Pallbearers were Robby LeBlanc, Ryan LeBlanc, Wesley LeBlanc, Jimmy Brennan LeBlanc, Kale Perrien, and Dillon Duplessis. The family would like to extend special thanks to the LPNs and staff at Ascension Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and Life Source Hospice. Ourso Funeral Home of Gonzales is in charge of arrangements.

Chadwick, Thairon Lavell

A native of Nicholson, Mississippi and resident of Prairieville, he passed away on Monday, June 29, 2015 at his residence. He was employed as a truck driver for Southeast Motor Freight and then was self-employed as the owner of a Texaco Station, T and C Trucking Co. and the I. C. Café. He retired in 1993. Interment in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.

Clements, Susan Claire

A resident of Maurepas, she passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center at the age of 49. She was born in Baton Rouge on July 13, 1965. She was a graduate of St. Joseph Academy in 1983, and worked as a Distribution Clerk at Air Liquide. She was a member of St. Stephen the Martyr Catholic Church in Maurepas. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park.

Guttery, Patrick Denis "Pat"

He passed away June 20, 2015, in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, while vacationing with his family. He was 49. He was a an active member of The Church in St. Amant. Burial in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. He was a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge. He graduated from Broadmoor High School and Louisiana State University. He was a real estate broker at KDK Capital Region Realty.

Hines, Kenneth Edwin

Anative of San Diego, California, he died Thursday, June 18, 2015 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was 45. Burial in Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery, Darrow.

Jackson, Evelyn Elaine

A resident of French Settlement, she passed away at 11:20 a.m. on Friday, June 26, 2015. She was 93. Interment in First Baptist Church Cemetery. She was member of French Settlement Baptist Church for the past 45 years. She served as church secretary, treasurer, Sunday School Teacher, and member of various state religious organizations.

Landry Jr., Dennis J.

A resident of Gonzales and retired business owner, he passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2015. He was 80 and a native of Gramercy. Burial in Prairieville Community Cemetery.

Thompson, Jr., William "Bill"

A lifelong resident of Geismar, he passed away on June 21, 2015 at 2:15 am in Avoyelles Hospital, Marksville. He was 84. Interment in Christian Assembly Full Gospel Church Cemetery. He retired from BASF Chemical after 35 years of service. He was born on June 4, 1931. He was a member of The Christian Assembly.

Vaughan, James A. 'Jimmy'

A native of Yazoo City, MS and resident of Prairieville, he passed away on June 24, 2015 at age 83. He was a retired Plant Manager with Agrico Chemical with over 40 years of service. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
