Claire Carline’s Teddy Bear Drive collects over 1,500 teddy bears

Claire Carline’s Teddy Bear Drive received an amazing response from family, friends, loved ones and so many others. A total of 1,563 teddy bears were collected! Donations were made on Saturday, December 20 and two additional appointments are upcoming. The following charitable organizations have received or will receive teddy bears in loving memory of Claire by the Carline family: Brave Heart Children in Need, Inc., Child Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), St. Vincent de Paul’s Sweet Dreams Shelter, Toys for Tots (partners with Salvation Army), St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, Our Lady of Lake Children’s Miracle Network, St. James Parish Hospital, Louisiana State Police, Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office, Prairieville Fire Department and St. John Evangelist Church. “I cannot express enough gratitude to God, my family for helping me with the teddy bear drive, family and friends of the Carline family, Auto Yes, Brian Thompson for assisting me with the deliveries, Ensite Design, Platinum Portraits by Jeri Melancon, AAA Rent-All, Danny Barry, Radio Station 98.1, WAFB, Sage Environmental Consulting, L.P. and ExxonMobil. There is also a company who has requested to remain anonymous who has graciously assisted me with this effort,” stated Vickie Hall, coordinator. “Lastly, a HUGE thank you to everyone who donated a teddy bear! Because of you and your heartfelt giving, Claire’s loving spirit will be shared with children throughout our community!”
