Tom and Margaret Moore hosted a party at their home on Sunday, Oct. 26 honoring their grandson, Tyler Moore. Tyler Moore, LSU catcher for the past 3 years, was drafted in the 6th round by the New York Mets. Since he flew out three days after the draft, the Family Draft Party had to be postponed until he returned from the first professional season. Tyler played for the Brooklyn Cyclones Team of the New York Mets. All of the more than 40 family members wore New York Mets shirts. In the front yard of the home was a huge banner with Tyler’s photo on it. A cake with Tyler’s photo on it was the centerpiece of the dessert table. The dessert table also included cookies with the New York Mets logo on them.
