Allen, Sylvia “Tibby” Comeaux

She was age 80 and passed away on Thursday, August, 28, 2014. She was a native of Des Allemands, a resident of St. Amant and was an Avon sale representative for 45 years. Interment in Hope Haven Garden of Memory Cemetery in Gonzales.

Babin, Shirley Agnes Rodeillat “Charlotte”

She was born on October 11, 1922, and passed away at her home on Thursday, August 28, 2014. She was 91. She was a native and resident of Donaldsonville. Interment in Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church mausoleum in Donaldsonville.

Floyd, Clara Roberta

Clara Roberta Floyd, 103, Gonzales, La. Passed away at home on August 30, 2014. Born in Port Gibson, Ms. Lived in Claiborne County most of her life, but for the last 30 years she lived in Gonzales, La. She is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Eugene Floyd, daughters Gladys Clark and Frances Brewer, and sons David Eugene Floyd, and James Clark Floyd. She attended the Ascension Baptist Church of Gonzales, La. She is survived by one son Ervin Floyd of Holly Springs, Ms. Three daughters Clara Chapman of Prosperity, S.C., Dorothy Jobe of Vicksburg, Ms. And Estelle Beaver of Gonzales, La. Two sisters Bessie Mae Anderson of Port Gibson, Ms, and Marie Williams of Viaden, Ms. Twenty eight grandchildren, Numerous Great grandchildren, and numerous Great Great grandchildren. Service will be at 11:00 am Wednesday September 3, 2014, at the Glenwood Chapel in Vicksburg, Ms. With burial to follow at Hermanville Cemetery in Hermanville, Ms. visitation will be at 9:00 am till hour of service Wednesday September 3, 2014. Rev. Bert Bryant will be officiating the under the direction of Glenwood Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Jerry Beaver, Terry Jobe, Jeff Jobe, Dave Jobe, Roy Floyd and Stan Cox.

Gregoire, Devin A.

A native of Baton Rouge and a resident of Gonzales he passed away on Friday, August 22, 2014, at the age of 29. Interment in Lake Cemetery in St. Amant.

Holsomback, Margaret Cashio

Margaret Cashio Holsomback, age 84, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 28, 2014. She was a native of Baton Rouge and resident of Gonzales. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Omega Chapter 1. She is survived by sister, Mary Sue Plauche; brother, Paul and wife, Audry Cashio; grandchildren, Richard D. Lineski, Lloyd Reginald Lineski; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Dominic and Angelina Peranio Cashio; her loving husband, Walter G. Holsomback; sisters, Angelina Humble, Frances Sharpe, Bessie Calamia; nephew, James Earl Humble Jr.; niece, Paula Humble Ingle. Visitation was held on Saturday, August 30, at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales. Interment in at Roselawn Memorial Park, Baton Rouge.

Jumonville, Gerald Anthony

He passed away on Friday, August 22, 2014. He was 64. He was a native of Marrero and resident of Prairieville. Interment in Hope Haven Cemetery in Gonzales.

King Sr., Noel “Duke”

He passed away on August 26, 2014 at 12:20 p.m. at his home in Gonzales. He was 68 and a native of Hope Villa. He retired from Vulcan Chemicals after 40 years and was Chairman of the OCAW 4-620 Vulcan Group for 29 years. He served as president of local 620 for 22 years; district council officer for OCAW for over 10 years and was a Baton Rouge Central Labor Council Member for the Ascension Parish Democratic Executive Board. He also served as a committeeman of the AFL-CIO and was one of the founding members of the Labor Neighbor Environmental Group. He served in the National Guard for 6 years. Visiting was held at St. Mark Catholic Church on Friday, August 29, followed by religious service.

Landry, Annie Rita (Bower)

She was 89 and passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Gonzales. Entombment in Lafayette. She was a member of the St. Anne Society, the Catholic Daughters and also a Ladies Rosary Group. She was also a member of the Cathedral of St. John Catholic Church Community and the St. John's Altar Society.

Logue, Patrick Lee

A native of Baton Rouge and a resident of Gonzales, he passed away at 11:30 am at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital on Wednesday, August 27, 2014. He was 67, a veteran of the United States Air Force, and a retired industrial hygienist. Interment in the Louisiana National Cemetery.

Politz, Betty Ann Guillot

She was 80 and passed away on Friday, August 29, 2014, at her home. She was a native and resident of Plattenville. She attended St. Elizabeth Catholic School, graduated from Ascension Catholic High School and received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education from USL. She was employed by the Assumption Parish School Board for 30 years. Burial at Assumption Catholic Church cemetery in Plattenville.

Savoy. Freida Ann (Accardo)

She passed away on August 26, 2014, at the age of 74. She was a native of Convent and a resident of Saint Amant. Entombment in Holy Rosary Mausoleum.

Sproles, Charles Lee “Tody”

He was 74 and passed away in Jarreau on Friday August 29, 2014. He was a native of Gilbert and former resident of Maurepas. He was a veteran of the Army National Guard. Interment in Whitehall Community Cemetery.

Ursin, Wayne

A native of Convent and a resident of Gonzales, he passed on August 23, 2014 at the Carpenter House in Baton Rouge, at the age of 56. He was a retired employee of the Pontchartrain Levee District. Burial in Hopeful Triumph B.C. Cemetery in Hillaryville.
