Blank, Ruthnell “Ruth” Tullier

A native of Sorrento and resident of St. Amant, she passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2014. She was 79. Interment in Holy Rosary Church Mausoleum.

Collins, Rose Bell

She passed away in Gonzales at the age of 92. She was a native of Church Point and resident of Gonzales. Interment in Hope Haven Garden of Memories.

Cook, Floyd Daniel

He passed away at his home on Saturday, August 16, 2014. He was a native of Jackson and resident of St. Amant. He was 90. He served in the Marines during World War II. Interment in Port Hudson National Cemetery.

Crochet, Clarence Joseph

He passed away Monday, August 11, 2014. He was 89. He was a native of Morganza and resident of Prairieville. He was a graduate of Southwestern earning a bachelor's degree in Music and a graduate of LSU earning a master's degree in Education. He served in the Navy during World War II. He was a teacher and the assistant principal at Dutchtown Elementary School. He served as President of the American Hemerocallis (Daylily) Society and was a lifelong musician and artist. Interment in Prairieville Community Cemetery.

Everett, Edward Robinson

He passed away Monday, August 11, 2014 in Gonzales. He was 78. He was a native of Eudora, Arkansas and resident of St. Amant. He was a retired Senior Operator with Rubicon Inc. with 21 years of service. Interment in New River Baptist Church Cemetery.

Hutchcraft, Ronald Lee

A native of Sullivan, IL and a resident of Prairieville, he passed away on Wednesday, August 13, 2014. He was 72. Burial in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Prairieville. He graduated from Sullivan High School in Sullivan, IL, retired from Basic Industries. He was also a member of Broussard Grove Baptist Church in Prairieville.

Johnson, John Burrows

A native of Cordova, Tennessee and a resident of Gonzales, he passed away Sunday, August 10, 2014 at his residence. He was a Korean War Veteran having served as a Sargent in the United States Army. He was 85. Vistations and Memorial Services were held Saturday, August 16 at Ourso Funeral Home with military honors by the Fort Polk Honor Guard. Interment will be held privately at a later date.

Martinez, Gary R.

A resident of St. Amant, he passed away on Friday, August 8, 2014, at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital. He was 55. As a way of giving back to the medical profession, he donated his body to the LSU Medical School. There will be a celebration of life at a later date.

Perkins, Margaret “Booie”

A native and resident of Darrow, she passed away on Monday, August 11, 2014, in Baton Rouge. She was 93. Interment in New St. Peter Baptist Church, Darrow.

Rodrigue Sr., Larry

A native of Belle Rose and a resident of Donaldsonville, he passed away on Monday, August 11, 2014. He was 78. Visitation was held Aug. 16 at Demby & Son Funeral Home, Donaldsonville.

Spriggs, Elouise

A native and resident of Darrow, she passed away August 7, 2014. She was born on Dec. 25, 1937. Religious service were held Saturday, Aug. 16, along with visitation at Mount Olive Baptist Church, Geismar.

Zeringue, Sheryl Paille

A native of Prairieville, she passed away of brain cancer on Monday, August 11, 2014, at the age of 60. Interment in Oak Lane Memorial Park, Prairieville.
