Bell, Letitia “Settie”

She was a homemaker, a native of Maurepas and a resident of Prairieville. She passed away Thursday, March 6, 2014. Visitation was held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, Monday, March 10, followed by a religious service.

Bernard, Amelia “Millie”

She passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at the of 76. She was born in Donaldsonville and was a resident of Baton Rouge. She was a member of the Newcomers Bowling League. Visiting was held at Resthaven Funeral Home Saturday, March 8, followed by a memorial service.

Blanchard, Sidney “Paco”

A resident of Baton Rouge, he passed away at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at Amber Terrace. He was 83, and a native of St. Amant. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory,

Borskey, Patricia Joanne “Patty”

She passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2014. She was 47 and a resident of St. Amant. She was born in Pittsburg, Kansas on June 21, 1966. She graduated from East Ascension High in 1984 and later attended LSU. She was a Client Services Officer with First National Bankers Bank. Burial in New River Methodist Church cemetery.

Diez Sr., Bradley

He passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2014 in Baton Rouge, at the age of 93. A native of Cornerview and a resident of Prairieville, he was the former owner/operator of the White Auto Store in Plaquemine and a WWII Army veteran. Burial in Oak Lane Memorial Park Cemetery in Prairieville.

Fridge, Cecile Brown Lambert

Cecile Brown Lambert Fridge, a resident of Sorrento for 69 years, passed away at her home on Friday, March 7, 2014. She was born July 23, 1924, in Whitehall She and her first husband owned and operated Lambert’s Restaurant on Airline Hwy in Sorrento from 1947-1985. A devoted wife to 2 husbands and a loving mother and grandmother, she was also a member of St. Anne Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters (Court of St. Rose de Lima), and a former member of the board of directors and the executive committee for the First National Bank of Gonzales. She is survived by her husband – Charles D. Fridge, Jr.; son – Gregory A. Lambert; 2 daughters and sons-in-law – Lynn Lambert Alexander and husband Murray, Tammy Lambert Schexnaydre and husband Donald; 6 grandchildren –Lathan Alexander and wife Kelly, Andrea Alexander, Ryan Alexander and wife Monica, Reid Alexander and wife Jessica, Lindsay Schexnaydre Savoy and husband Chase, and Natalie Schexnaydre; 11 great-grandchildren – Rachel, Jordan, Alise, Brayden, Ethan, Braley, Tristan, Drue, Sage, Blake, and Matilyn; brother – Murphy (White) Brown; sister-in-law – Joyce Fontenot Brown; 4 step-sons and spouses – Charles (Buddy) Fridge III and wife Cheryl, Rodney Fridge and wife Joan, James Fridge and wife Rhonda, John Fridge and wife Joann; 2 step-daughters and spouse – Lucille Fridge Gautreaux and husband Gordon and Laurie Fridge Brumfield. She was preceded in death by her husband -- Emile Lambert; her parents -- Peter and Lena Scivicque Brown; 3 brothers – Chester Brown, Lester Brown, and Melton (Perry) Brown; 3 sisters – Esther Delatte, Mildred Villar, and Louise Savoy; a granddaughter – Casey Schexnaydre. Services were held at St. Anne Catholic Church in Sorrento, Monday, March 10 beginning with the rosary prayed by the Catholic Daughters at 8:45 a.m. Visitation was from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., with Mass of Christian Burial to follow, celebrated by Fr. Michael Galea. Burial in Hope Haven Cemetery, Gonzales, Louisiana. Pallbearers were Donald Schexnaydre, Lathan Alexander, Ryan Alexander, Reid Alexander, Michael Lambert, and Chase Savoy. He was 86 and passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2014 in Donaldsonville. He was a native of Lauderdale. He was a graduate of Ascension Catholic High School and LSU, then entered into the U.S. Navy. After the serving in the military he became a member of American Legion, Knights of Columbus and VFW. He was a retired sugar cane farmer of M.A. Gautreau and Co. Entombment in Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church mausoleum.

She passed away Thursday, March 6, 2014. She was born on July 22, 1946 in Gonzales. Internment in Mt. Bethel Church Cemetery.

Haynes, Antoinette Fontana “Dee Dee”

She was a resident and native of Donaldsonville. She passed away Saturday March 8, 2014. She was 88. Entombment in Ascension of Our Lord Mausoleum.

LeBlanc, Edward Joseph “Eddie”

He was 66 and passed away Thursday March 6, 2014. He was born Nov. 9, 1947 in New Orleans and was a resident of Gonzales. He was an owner of LeBlanc's Auto. Interment will be in Hope Haven Cemetery.

LeBlanc, Elwood J.

A native of Louisiana and a resident of Sorrento, he passed away, Monday, March 10, 2014 in Baton Rouge at the age of 73. He was retired Sgt. from Louisiana State Police. Entombment in Holy Rosary Catholic Church Mausoleum in St. Amant.

Leon, Lance Raymond

A resident of St. Amant he passed away on March 7, 2014 at the age of 42. He was a graduate of St. Amant High School and was employed by B&K Equipment. Interment in Holy Rosary Catholic Church cemetery.

Schmitt, Mary Evelyn Guidry

A native of Breaux Bridge and resident of Prairieville, she passed away Monday, March 3, 2014 at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital. She was 92 and a retired American Bank teller. Burial in Greenoaks Memorial Park.

Ryland, Mae S.

A native and resident of St. Amant, she passed away Sunday, March 9, 2014 at the age of 83. Interment in French Cemetery in Effie.

Templet, Darrin Paul “Tip”

He passed away on Friday, Feb. 28, 2014 at the age of 47 in St. Amant. He was a native of Baton Rouge and a resident of St. Amant. He was a graduate of St. Amant High School class of 1985. He was employed by Turner Industries for the past 26 years and a member of Central South Carpenters Regional Council 1098. Burial in Holy Rosary Catholic Church, St. Amant.

Thompson, Sheri B.

She was 56 and passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Gonzales, at 7:30 a.m. She was a native of Monroe and a resident of Prairieville. She worked as a loan officer at Florida Parishes Bank in Hammond,. She was an officer in the APMW. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.

Thoms, Bryan

A native and resident of Baton Rouge, he passed away at 3:30 a.m. on Feb. 28, 2014. He was 48, a graduate of St. Amant High School, and was a mechanic. Visitation was held Tuesday, March 11 at The Church in St. Amant.

Zeigler, Jerry Wayne

He passed away Monday, March 3, 2014 at the age of 77. Prior to retirement, he was the owner of Bocage Supermarket. He was a native of Provincal and a resident of Baton Rouge, until retirement, he then moved to Pierre Part, until 2007 and became a resident of Geismar. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
