Causey, Lois Laura Nickens

She passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014, in Gonzales, at the age of 91. She was a resident of Prairieville and a graduate of Oak Grove High School. Burial in Mount Zion Baptist Church in Prairieville.

Delmore, Dorothy Mae Williams

She was a homemaker, a life long resident of Gonzales and passed away Feb. 9, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Gonzales. She was 77. Interment St. Paul Baptist Church cemetery.

Dixon, Betty Miller

She passed away at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014. She was 81 and had Alzheimer's. Interment in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.

Hodge, Billy Darrell

A native of Deridder and a resident of French Settlement, he passed away in Baton Rouge at 9 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014. He was a computer draftsman and was 59. Interment in First Baptist Church cemetery, French Settlement.

Jacob Sr., Raymond Paul

He passed away on Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014. He was a native and resident of St. Amant. Services were held at The Church in St. Amant on Friday, Feb. 14, followed by a memorial service.

Juneau Jr., Raphael “Ray”

He passed away on Friday, Feb. 14, 2014. He was a native and resident of Donaldsonville. He was 50. He was a graduate of Nicholls State University, where he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. He became a certified public accountant and later obtained a Master's Degree in Business Administration. He went on to earn his Juris Doctorate from Loyola University, where he graduated Cum Laude. While earning his law degree, he interned at the Department of Justice in New Orleans. He was inducted into Alpha Sigma Nu honorary fraternity as well as the Golden Key Honor Society. He was a member of the Louisiana Association for Justice, Baton Rouge Bar Association and Louisiana State Bar Association. Most recently, he was a practicing attorney with the law firm of Walters, Papillion, Thomas and Cullens in Baton Rouge. Interment in St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church mausoleum.

Keller, Noble J.

He passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2014. He was 85 and a retired electrician with IBEW 995. Burial in Lake Cemetery.

Lieux, John Albin

He was 73 and passed on Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014 in Gonzales. He was a native of New Roads and a resident of Prairieville. He was a retired attorney from the law office of John A. Lieux Attorney at Law . A Memorial Gathering was held at Ourso Funeral Home, 13533 Airline Hwy., Gonzales, Thursday, Feb. 13. He was a 1967 graduate of the Louisiana State University School of Law.

McGuerty, Becky

Becky passed away on Jan. 30, 2014 at the age of 36. She was a native of Gainesville, FL and resident of Gonzales. She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Tess William Palmer; father, Mark Steven McGuerty; daughter, Stormy Ra’ne McGuerty; brothers, Scott and Steven McGuerty; and half-sister, Melina Maklouf. She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Barbara Thompson. Becky was always full of life and had a good heart. She loved her family and friends, especially her daughter, Stormy. Milazzo, Michelle Ann Jude

She was born May 24, 1969 in Donaldsonville and passed away Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014. She was 44 and a resident of Iota. Interment in Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church cemetery, Donaldsonville.

Mire, Donnell Joseph

He passed away Saturday morning, Feb. 15 at St. Joseph's Carpenter House from mesothelioma. He was 85, a native of Sorrento and a resident of Maurepas. He retired after 30 years as an office manager for Corrosion Materials, Inc. Entombment in St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery.

Pedigo, Glenda Miranda

She passed away at 9:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014 at Baton Rouge General Medical Center. Memorial Services were conducted Saturday, Feb. 15 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Interment will be held privately at a later date. She was a native of Plaquemine and a resident of Prairieville. She was 74.

Jesse Tom Peurifoy

He was 95 and passed away after a brief illness on Monday, Feb. 10, 2014. He was born Oct. 11, 1918 in Wortham, Texas. He served in World War II in the Army Ground Unit and later in the Air Force Reserves. He graduated from Southern Methodist University and was a member of the marching band and Alpha Tau Omega. In 1978 he opened AAA Lock, Safe and Alarm in Beaumont, Texas. He retired to Bradenton, Fla. until his move to Gonzales in 2003. Visitation was held Saturday, Feb. 15 at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales with a memorial service following.

Smith, Vera

She passed away Feb. 11, 2014 at the age of 93. She was born April 2, 1920 in Prairieville and was a resident of Denham Springs at La Plantation Retirement Community. She was at one time a school bus driver. Interment in Amite Baptist Church cemetery.

Ernestine Williams departed this life on earth to receive her Heavenly Father on February 14, 2014 at 5 p.m. at her residence in Darrow. She is survived by her children, Reginald Gordon (Courtney), Baton Rouge; Maxine Spriggs (Willie), Darrow; Patricia McCaleb (Wilbert Joseph Jr.), Gonzales; Shirlene August (Ronnie), Darrow; Leonard Gordon, Jr. (John), Pensacola, FL; Valarie D. Gordon (Emmitt Pembrook), Darrow; Laquita Gordon (Herbert Williams Jr.), Gonzales; stepchildren, Monique Anderson (Sterling), Gonzales, LA; Robert Smith and Willie Smith, both of Houma, LA; adopted daughters, Joyce Gordon, Doris Brown, Shelita Dunham, Caroline Robert, Justin Robert, Keta (Ernest) Jones, Donna Thomas; her devoted sisters, Shirley Simon, Florence Brown and Irma Williams (Houston), all of Hillaryville and Carolyn Williams, Donaldsonville; sisters-in-law, Mary Jenkins and Eva Lewis; 19 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; five godchildren, Jerrilyn Bush, Jaquette Cooper, Shelita Dunham, Travis Dunham and Tammy Rodney; three grandchildren she reared, Rondell, RuRu and Raven Gordon; a special niece, Grace Ann Burl; a special thanks to niece Joyce Gordon and Keta Jones; a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, LeeArthur Williams; father, Andrew Brown, Sr.; mother, Mary Robizion; sister, Rose Ann Gordon; brothers, Andrew Brown, Sr., Jessie Brown and Tommy Carter; father-in-law, Ernest Gordon, Sr.; mother-in-law, Sarah Gordon; brothers-in-law, Lester Simon, Ernest Gordon, Jr., Lawrence Jenkins, Lawrence Gordon and Lester Clyde; sisters-in-law, Elva Tinguee and Josephine Edmond; granddaughter, Alexis (Muffy) Gordon; grandson, Damonte Aubert.
