Army PVT Tyrus R Cobb Jr. graduates basic training

Army PVT Tyrus R Cobb Jr. has graduated from basic training and AIT with B CO 795th MP 2nd Battalian at Ft .Leonard Wood, MO. During the five phases of nineteen weeks of training, he focused on adapting to the Army's core values, traditions and ethics; the development of individual basic combat skills; the development of teamwork; and physical fitness training.
At the conclusion of Advanced Individual Training (AIT), and all testing has been completed and prior to graduation, soldiers receive their Regimental Distinctive Insignia (RDI), and then are welcomed into the Regiment at what is termed the Rights of Passage. This ceremony signifies the passage from typical soldiers to Military Police Warriors.
Cobb is the son of Ray and Melissa Cobb of Prairieville. He is a 2012 graduate of St. Amant High School.
